Indonesian Embassy in Hanoi holds "Indonesian Cultural Night and Charity" for helping Disable Children

Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Hanoi with its communities in Vietnam has hosted "Indonesian Cultural Night and Charity" by displaying "Nusantara Citra Group" and “Angkung” Mang Ujo on June 10 th , 2012.

The show aims to introduce art and culture of Indonesia to vietnamese, expatriates, and diplomatic circles in Hanoi to attract them for a trip to Indonesia. This activity was also aim to participate in helping to address humanitarian issues in Vietnam. Therefore, the results of this show, interm of money will had been donated to Bo De Pagoda in Hanoi.

Cultural evening with a showcase of a wide variety of arts and culture of Indonesia was the first time held in Hanoi and received a warm welcome from the Vietnamese Community, represented by Mr. Tran Dac Loi, Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee Commission for External Relations. He suggested that among other things, "I believe that art and cultural activities will enhance mutual understanding and awareness and similarities between people of Indonesia and Vietnam."

Mr. Loi expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia and Indonesian people in Vietnam. He asserted that, "We appreciated the initiative and the noble efforts of the Embassy of Indonesia and the Indonesian community in Vietnam in support of the Party, State and people of Vietnam to help and care for disadvantaged communities in Vietnam. We express our sincere thanks to you all for an activity that is very meaningful, "said Mr. Loi.

More than 250 people attended the show which consisted of officials referred to the Government of Vietnam and Hanoi, Vietnam Community, Expats and diplomatic circles. Some of them said, "this show is very interesting and inspiring and arouse us to travel to Indonesia. And we greatly appreciated the humanitarian efforts undertaken by the Embassy of Indonesia and its societies in Viatnam Society."
